The highly anticipated film production of TV series Friends has finally been given the go-ahead. Cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation ‘within the next 18 months’, according to insiders.

The actors have been inspired by the recent success of Sex And The City, which recently hit cinemas worldwide.

A source says: ‘Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she’d love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again.

‘She says she and Courteney have already talked this summer about what they want out of a Friends movie, and if deals can be made with them, everything else can fall into place rather quickly.

‘It really comes down to money, and I don’t think Jen has a problem with all of the Friends getting huge paydays for the movie.

‘In that sense, it’s Sex And The City all over again. There’s no movie unless you can reunite the whole cast and keep them all happy financially.’

We miss Friends… we were just kids and we loved gathering around popcorn and TV to watch it! Of course we still can see the re-runs but it’s not the same thing!! We want a movie!!

Anne Hathaway and co-stars, Steve Carell and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, arrived for the premiere of their new movie “Get Smart”.

Maxwell Smart is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23. Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99. As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS’ master plan–and each other–they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried and his sidekick Shtarker are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Susan Sarandon is a 61 year-old Academy Award-winning actress and she is still as hot as ever!! With a little help from photoshop, but I’m not judging… these days girls one third of her age need photoshop, why wouldn’t Susan need it too??

Susan talks to Woman&House magazine, here’s some highlights:

Susan on acting: “I fell into acting. My husband, Chris, was an actor and I was the wifey, but I started doing some modelling and his agent sent me on an audition for a film called Joe. I got the part and it ended up being a breakthrough movie. The next thing I got was a soap, then another film – I thought it was a riot. It was a number of years before I thought, “I guess I’m an actor.”

Susan on her role in Enchanted: “I was honoured to play an iconic Disney figure in Enchanted. I love that the princess is plucky and saves the prince. I love my character, Queen Narissa. It’s so much fun to be evil. She has no compassion – she’s completely over the top and imbalanced – it’s fabulous!”

Susan on her new film: “I am also excited about my next film, The Lovely Bones [released in March 2009]. I love the book and it’s my first time playing a grandmother. She’s a great life force in the story, a completely insensible alcoholic with a great sense of humour. It was fun and, of course, so interesting to work with Peter Jackson.”

Susan on beauty: “I haven’t had any work done to my face. I’d be lying if I said losing my jaw line was a pleasant thing and I am not ruling out eventually doing something. But I do think the plastic surgery thing can get addictive and extreme. I think looking good and being sexy is a state of mind. It’s about saying “yes” to life. There are lots of women my age and older who are living very vital lives. By the time my daughter is 60 and looks fabulous, it’ll be great if no one is making a fuss about it. How fantastic when it’s accepted that you can look good at any age.”

Susan on men: “There’s nothing that turns me on more than a smart guy with a sense of humour and a little bit of a twinkle in his eye. I like men who cry and who listen, and who have a strong feminine side. I also like a man who can take care of things for me. I don’t care what age a man is, if he’s older or younger – it doesn’t matter to me. I like someone who can dance and laugh, and has a sense of adventure and who’s good at what he does. Passionate.”

X-Files star Gillian Anderson is expecting her second child with boyfriend Mark Griffiths. The couple have a son, Oscar, who was born in November 2006. Anderson also has a 13-year-old daughter, Piper, from a previous marriage.

Next up, Anderson will reprise her role as Dana Scully in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, a new movie due out July 25.

So if you were wondering why Gillian was wearing such a weird dress for this edition of Cannes Film Festival, now you know why… she was hiding a baby bump under that… i knew it!! She is glowing!!

Always eager to protect their fans, the cast of the “Sex and the City” movie and writer/director Michael Patrick King went to extraordinary lengths to keep much of the film’s plot a secret. Now that the movie has hit theaters, here are some interesting tidbits about what didn’t make it into the film, and more.

Yes, someone was meant to die: The original script for “Sex” featured the death of one of the show’s characters, but, unlike tabloid speculation, it wasn’t anyone in the main cast. Anne Meara, who played Steve’s mom, was set to pass away in a scene meant to show that even though Steve (David Eigenberg) had cheated on Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), she still cared for him enough after their separation to visit her mother-in-law in the hospital. As for killing off any of his leading ladies, King dismissed the idea noting, “I care too much about each of these characters.”
